Baby Clothing Business Success Story

A mother and a daughter becoming top notch entrepreneurs is a rarity. Mother Jeanne Roth, an entrepreneur, and daughter Leslie Smith, an elementary teacher, teamed up to form L’ilDarlins. The most practical and trendy products have been created by L’ilDarlins, which provide accessories for moms, babies and toddlers. Their variety of products include –

1. BibARoo

2. Burpee Cloth

3. Burpee Bouquet

4. Hoodie Bath Towel

5. Sweet Dreams pillowcase

6. Love My Cozy

7. KidzApronAll.

The daughter, Leslie Smith, attributes her success to her three little girls. As a mom, she looked for high quality and practical accessories for children to grow with. Their first product, BiBARoo, fulfilled the customer’s requirements. The product is a full body bib to cover the babies. The high quality apron is still in demand. The bib protects the baby’s clothes from food stains and spills.

Backed by self-finance, the biggest challenge was to find a manufacturer in the U.S who would be within a reasonable distance and produce quality products. The series of challenges did not end there. The mom-daughter team had to convince the buyers that their product was unique and could stand out from the rest of the baby accessories. Presently, their products can be found in the baby aisle of every store. Currently, their manufacturer is Harris Manufacturing Inc. in Trenton, NJ.

Five accidental business-success stories

Sometimes all it takes is a good idea and some luck. These folks had both. (The Internet helped.)

 Jeffery and Cole Casserole

How it happened: Escola and his friend Jeffery Self had each grown up filming videos. But VGL Gay Boys, the YouTube series that made them famous, was so simple: just the two of them chatting or performing skits pegged to pop-culture headlines and loaded with plenty of personality and gay humor. They'd been slowly gaining fans since the show launched in 2008, but it was the "Gay Marriage" episode, which they posted in May of 2008 amid much debate about the issue, that very quickly garnered them more than 100,000 clicks and a cult following. Cole still has no idea how the series caught on. "We were just two guys making stupid videos," Escola says. Still, Escola and Self had been wanting to break into theater and showbiz"But Escola and Self had been wanting to break into theater and show biz, so they jumped on the wave of support and announced a live stage show at Joe's Pub in August 2008. That's when the Logo executives came knocking. The guys have since produced two seasons of the Jeffery and Cole Casserole as a TV show for Logo, and a third season is in negotiations. Self and Escola have both landed gigs outside of the Internet: Escola guest-starred in an episode of Law & Order and helmed a one-man show at Joe's Pub, and Self made a guest appearance on 30 Rock as Liz Lemon's gay cousin last year. They've also written a film script that they're currently shopping around.

His advice: If you want your YouTube videos to get attention, make them topical—The "Gay Marriage" episode that made them famous aired  right after the California Supreme Court had overturned the state's ban on gay weddings.

Nearly 100 KMM Models Attend Casting for Monkey Business Images

Alycia Kaback, CEO of The It Factor Productions is proud to announce that Kaback Model Management (KMM) has accomplished nearly 100 success stories in one swing.   The casting is for Monkey Business Images which shoots lifestyle-based images and footage for stock.   Stock images are used to fulfill the needs of creative assignments instead of hiring a photographer, often for a lower cost. They are presented in searchable online databases and can be purchased and delivered online. Check out MonkeyBusinessImages.com and click any of the four logos to see Monkey Business’s online portfolio on that site.

The photos from the shoot will produce stills and footage for stock, therefore the image and footage use would have to be indefinite and international. This means it’s a great chance for exposure for some of KMM’s newer models.  Another great thing about this opportunity is that Monkey Business was  looking to see male and female models of all ethnicities (Hispanic, Asian, African American and White Caucasian ethnicities) and all ages ranging from babies, children, teenagers, adults to seniors of Hispanic, Asian, African American and White Caucasian ethnicities.  They were also keen to see pregnant ladies, seniors in their 80’s for good grannies & granddads and also more curvy, plus size models too. That means that many many Kaback Models fit the possible requirements.

Kaback Models who are able to attend the casting are KMM’s Andrijka Keller, Taylor Foster, Taylor K, Allison O, Ashley Burch, Beverly Gunn, Brianna M, Ciara W, Daphne Tingey, Gabrielle Garza, Jackie M, Jodi Smith, Josiane R, Kia N, Lizzette G, Loella, Moriah Foster, Shenequa Poteat, Tanara Polk, Tineera Hogan, Veronica Anderson,Yasmin, Alexis Davis, Asia Burnett, Aspen Deems, Baily Turch, Barry Leonard, Catherine C, Darrea Brown, Deirdra Martin, Elijah,Gianna G, Grace, Hope M, Isabella S, Julia Powell, Kaseba, Kayla S, Ke’sias, Maddison L, Madysen T, Marliyan W, Marcus Sandler, Marisha C, Muary Galvez, Diane S, Fredinline L, Jayne Smalls, Jessica Freeman, Kendra Barker, Lisa Johnson, Sharea Tiller, Taisha C, Drew Fischer, Joe I, Rasheed Williams, Ryan Weaver, Christian Rosales, Dallas M, David Starr, Edward R, Ed Wagner, Eric Knox, Fran S, Gabe C, Gavin Esquilin, Ghanim, J.David, Jacob Ellis, John Lim, Jeff M, John S, Mike V, Ramon Duval, Robert P, Ryan Barron, Shuan Johnson, Toren Cook, Brian Ray, Dario Kelly, Jose F, Roosevelt M, Tony H, Louis P, Will M,  Xavier.
